Run Club of the Week - LOOP Running
LOOP Running Club – Where Sunset Runs Meet Sushi Nights
Led by Daniel (@daniel.chrs), LOOP Running Club might be the new kid on the Berlin running scene, but it’s already carving out a distinct identity, and trust me, it’s one worth experiencing. Here's a breakdown of what makes LOOP so special
Watch the full interview here!

1️⃣ Vibe & Community (4.25/5)
This club radiates calm, welcoming energy. Still a small group (they only launched a month ago!), but that’s what makes the experience feel intimate and meaningful. You’re not lost in a crowd. You’re having real conversations, really connecting with other runners.
Whether you're new to running or a seasoned marathoner seeking a slower-paced social run, you’ll feel right at home. There’s no pressure here, just genuine people and good vibes.
Post-run socializing? Oh yes. Sushi, chats, laughter — the kind of hangout that lingers, in the best way.
2️⃣ Route & Scenery (4/5)
LOOP sticks to the same 5K route, but when the Spree glows at sunset, you don’t really need much else. It’s scenic, peaceful, and surprisingly meditative. City lights flickering on, water shimmering beside you, and a relaxed pace that lets you soak it all in. The route is well-lit, with good surfaces and minimal traffic interruptions. A dreamy run to unwind from the day.

3️⃣ Training & Structure (3.25/5)
The session starts with a short warm-up, then a 5K run, which sometimes extends to 7K if the group’s up for it. There’s no pressure and no competition. Just a check-in with the group and a collective decision.
Currently, there’s one pace (chill & chatty) and no formal cool-down, which would be a great addition in the future. No structured training formats yet (like intervals or tempo), but that’s part of its relaxed charm for now.

4️⃣ Facilities & Perks (3.25/5)
While LOOP doesn’t offer bathrooms or showers (yet), the vibe and post-run perks are way above what you'd expect from a brand-new, free run club. It’s a simple setup with a big heart, and the sushi really seals the deal. Post-run sushi (and water) included (!), which feels like a reward and a reason to stay and socialize. Bag drop is also available at the location.
It’s rare to find a free run club offering such thoughtful perks so early in its journey.

5️⃣ Uniqueness & Identity (3/5)
LOOP is still building its traditions. No chants, branded gear, or rituals yet, but there’s a clear personality already emerging: minimal, mindful, and meaningful.
There’s a focus on creating intentional experiences: think “less is more”: a sunset run, slow pace, real talk, and shared food. It’s the kind of club you go to when you want to feel something deeper than just your heartbeat.
With more runners discovering LOOP each week, and a foundation this solid, the club has huge potential. I can’t wait to see how it grows.
Final Thoughts: Is LOOP Running Worth Joining?
Absolutely. If you’re craving a slower pace, deep conversations, and a break from the hustle, LOOP is more than worth joining. It’s beginner-friendly, welcoming, and refreshingly relaxed. A reminder that running doesn't always have to be intense to be meaningful. A great way for grounding yourself mid-week and reconnecting with why you run in the first place

Final Score: ⭐️ 3.55/5
