Run Club of the Week - ODY Motion Club
Hi friends đ
In my mission to find the best run club in Berlin, I joined ODY Motion Club for one of their Monday morning sessions, and it quickly became clear that theyâre not your average run club.
Open to everybody, but built for those who show up.
Thatâs the motto of ODY Motion Club, and honestly, it perfectly sums up their vibe: social runs, rooftop workouts, recovery parties, and now, intervals too!
We had the privilege to catch up with Manu and Dom, the founders, and hereâs what they had to say. Watch the full interview

Here's a full breakdown of my personal experience, and the score:
1ď¸âŁ Vibe & Community đ¤â¨ 4.5/5
ODY Motion is about showing up, connecting, and growing together.
From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome. The group was super open, supportive, and genuinely happy to see both familiar and new faces. The leaders Dom and Manu, both familiar faces in the Berlin running scene, made an effort to check in with everyone. Thereâs a sense of commitment and consistency in this community thatâs hard to fake: Everyone actually talks to each other keeping friendly vibe, no âcliquesâ.
The post-run hangout over coffee and snacks felt more like a weekly catch-up with friends than a formal run club, always taking care of the smallest of the details to ensure all runners feel comfortable and actually want to come back.
2ď¸âŁ Route & Scenery đď¸đ 4.75/5
In this occassion, we did a 6.5 km loop through Tiergarten at a social pace (5:45). Itâs one of Berlinâs classic spots, moving a bit away from the classical Spree to Hauptbahnof loop, which is always a nice run, but not a super unique route. The park was peaceful, with almost no crowdsâa big plus. The route was safe, flat, and easy to follow, perfect for a social jog.
Usually, the group meets at 6:40am for the Monday runs, but this time, it was a bank holliday so it was moved to later in the day.

3ď¸âŁ Training & Structure đđââď¸4.5/5
ODY Motion puts effort into structuring their sessions. From ODY Awake (7 AM Monday morning runs) to the newly launched ODY Pulse (Wednesdays intervals), the sessions are structured with a warm-up, followed by a steady group run, and finished with a proper cool-down and strecthing.
Besides, ODY Motion stands out from other Run Clubs in Berlin by offering other types of workouts beyond running: ODY Chill strength sessions, group workouts, recovery-focused sessions⌠and a new concept called ODY Recovery Hub and ODY Chill, blends unique mix of fun and fitness. Think about HIIT on a rooftop, recovery stations with ice bath and sauna, coffee and matcha raves, and community time

If you want a club that helps you grow as a runner without being intimidating.
4ď¸âŁ Facilities & Perks đđż 4.25/5
ODY always meets at a location or venue with bag drop and toilets, generally well communicated by public transport. They donât have showers, but you also donât need them! Coffee and snacks after the run were the cherry on top.

Moreover, ODY often collaborates with sports, fitness and wellness brands at special events. Back in April, in the midst of the Berlin Half Marathon, they organized a recovery station in Kudam with ice bath, sauna, running analysis, Therabody station, Retreature, and many others. Plus, in the last ODY Chill event, they brought the beloved HIIT coaches in Berlin - Saam and Kofi - and a post-workout celebration with soft ice-cream serves and protein smoothies from Daluma, recovery stations with Therabody, and even sunglasses from Alpina sports.
5ď¸âŁ Uniqueness & Identity đĽđ 4.5/5
What makes ODY Motion shine is how holistic their approach is. Their ODY Awake set a serious tone: this is a crew for people who actually show up. The ODY Pulse, in the heart of Berlin, next to the Berliner Dom, promises a unique running experience. Their ODY Chill event is probably one of Berlinâs most original fitness concepts. It is rare to find a club this thoughtful and versatile.
The two leading forces behind ODY Motion are not unfamiliar in the Berlin running scene.
Dom (@dom.stroh) is an entrepreneur, athlete, and content creatorâfamous for running marathons in the most surprising, unconventional outfits you can imagine. His energy is contagious and his passion for making running fun and approachable is a big part of ODY Motionâs DNA.

Manu (@manupeaks) is well known for starting the original âIch teste jeden Run Clubâ seriesâthe very one that inspired my own journey to test as many Berlin run clubs as possible. His curiosity and deep connection to the running community bring authenticity and inclusiveness to the club.
Together, theyâve built something thatâs more than just a run clubâitâs a movement-driven, people-first community that actually walks (and runs) the talk.
Final thoughts: Is ODY Motion Club Worth Joining?
ODY Motion isnât just about runningâitâs about building a lifestyle around it. If youâre looking for a club that balances fun, growth, and community, this is a solid pick.
If you love showing up, pushing yourself, and having fun while doing it, ODY Motion might just be your next favorite crew.
Final Score: âď¸ 4.5/5
